On behalf of the Shawnee County Parks & Recreation Foundation, I’d like to welcome you to our website.
This Foundation was created to allow families and friends the ability to bestow permanent memorials and recognition and to provide local business a unique advertising venue throughout the Shawnee County parklands and facilities.

john knight-sAll donors, contributors and sponsors offer Shawnee County Parks & Recreation the ability to continue to offer high quality services, facilities and programs while lessening the burden on Shawnee County taxpayers.  Shawnee County Parks & Recreation Foundation is the culmination of the dreams, vision and determination of the Board of County Commissioners, Parks & Recreation staff and generous patrons and visitors. I am humbled to be a part of this Foundation's purpose, which benefits Topeka and Shawnee County residents and visitors to our community.

Today, nearly one million users enjoy the beauty and diversity of Lake Shawnee alone, while thousands more enjoy Shawnee County Parks & Recreation’s other parks, facilities, and programs throughout Shawnee County.  Shawnee County Parks are a place where there is truly something for everyone. Shawnee County Parks & Recreation’s parklands, facilities, and programs are a glowing example of an outdoor leisure paradise with fun-filled family-oriented entertainment making our community a better place to live.

So, whether you are a golfer, angler, athlete, boater, camper, parent, coach, kid, engaged couple, sponsor or donor, we hope you will use and enjoy Shawnee County Parks & Recreation's amenities; there truly is something for everyone.
